In the framework of the LITI-GATE project, Validity Foundation is excited to announce that it will host a webinar on strategic litigation before international bodies such as the Courtof Justice of the European Union, the European Court of Human Rights and the UN Treaty Bodies. Based on existing cases, we will explore how persons with disabilities and organisations of persons with disabilities, as well as other human rights defenders, can fight for their human rights at international level.

Moderated by Simona Florescu, Litigation Director of Validity Foundation, the webinar will feature interventions by policy experts, legal practitioners and self-advocates, who will dive into innovative strategies to push for systemic change for persons with disabilities.
Validity Foundation, in partnership with national organisations has been litigating for the rights of persons with disabilities for more than 20 years. In this webinar we will be discussing the impact of strategic litigation on human rights advocacy. Also, together with experts in strategic litigation we will be discussing concrete examples of cases and mecanisms for bringing such cases to international courts. The focus will be on the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union and the Court of Justice of the European Union. Other human rights mechanisms and strategies will also be discussed.
