Our Work

Validity is an international non-governmental organisation which uses the law to secure equality, inclusion and justice for persons with intellectual disabilities and persons with psychosocial disabilities worldwide.

PROJECTS

Validity collaborates with a range of international and national partners to initiate projects on topics which are poorly understood and resourced, using evidence to raise awareness and develop tools which advance the rights of persons with mental disabilities.

LEGAL RESOURCE

Validity acts as a specialist legal resource to disability rights movements. We act on the instructions of persons with disabilities and carry out capacity-building for lawyers and legal professionals, as well as creating a variety of practical handbooks, tools and protocols.

WATCHDOG

Validity seeks to increase transparency in legal, political and developmental processes affecting persons with disabilities, and particularly those with intellectual disabilities and psychosocial disabilities through investigation and sharing information.

COALITION

Validity has strong partnerships with grassroots activities and organisations of persons with disabilities, focused on catalysing and coordinating collective action both nationally and internationally.
