Validity is an international non-governmental human rights organisation that uses legal strategies to promote, protect and defend the human rights of people with mental disabilities worldwide. We strive for a world of equality, where emotional, mental and learning differences are valued equally; where the inherent autonomy and dignity of each person is fully respected; and where human rights are realised for all people without discrimination.
In 2023, our small team is entering a period of managed growth to enhance our impact on securing the rights of persons with disabilities. As part of this process, we are recruiting several new team members to work with us on the five new EU co-funded projects Validity will be coordinating or participating in. We are also looking for an administrative assistant to provide financial, administrative and general support across Validity’s operations. Successful candidates will join a dynamic, dedicated team in our offices in Budapest.

Validity is also setting up an Expert Panel on access to justice, with internationally-recognised experts in the field to directly influence and shape promising practices. Panel members will advise on and contribute to innovative intersectional research and policy recommendations at the international level, will influence decision-makers in Brussels, will support the creation of practical tools and guidance, and will help ensure maximum reach and impact of Validity’s work on access to justice for persons with disabilities. The Panel will be focused on ensuring our EU co-funded projects are grounded in the experience and requirements of the disability rights movement.
